| Shamrock Kennels is located north of Seneca Falls on 110 acres of ponds and cornfields. Originally a Revolutionary War land grant, the Metcalf family operated a farm and brickyard here for generations. In the mid 1800's, the Metcalf family supported the social reform movements of the time, including women's suffrage, temperance, anti-slavery and the underground railroad. In 1960, it was purchased by my parents, and became known as "Lashbrook Farm." The farm became a favorite destination for generations of strawberry lovers. Today, Lashbrook Farm is home to my family, the ghosts of the past and the litte red dogs we call Tollers. |
